"Made a reservation for pickup from LAX at 5:00 for my son. His flight got in at 4:30. At 4:50, the limo service was calling me, in Chicago, saying they could not reach my son and wanted me to get in touch with him and find out why he as not at the limo. I was confused by the time difference and told them they had the phone number he could be reached at and I would just call that same number to get in touch with him. I said I was sure he would find them. Then I realized they were getting all wound up about not reaching him and it was BEFORE THE DESIGNATED PICK UP TIME on the reservation. My son was meeting someone at the airport to share the ride with, so they needed some time to meet up before heading to the car, so I left 30 minutes from the flight arrival to get to the limo. I could understand them contacting me if my son was late, but he wasn't. They should have waited until at least the designated pick up time before getting all concerned about things."
