The following outline is a real chauffeur training program used
in the limousine industry. This program is presented here compliments of Jim Luff
of LimoScene in Bakersfield California. Mr Luff is a limo industry
veteran bring many years of experience to the business. His company currently operates
17 vehicles with 32 employees. The driver training program consists of 3 training
modules. |

maids, concierges etc.
Expectations of the limo chauffeur & company
The types of services offered & their unique requirements
Overview of rates, packages, overtime on packages &
additional charges
The reservations process, computer system entry & trip ticket
information
Chauffeur paperwork, inspection forms, incident reporting, billing
etc.
Limo mechanics
(Dual alternators/batteries, belts, circuit
breakers, etc.)
Pre-Trip Safety Inspections/Declaring a vehicle OUT OF SERVICE
Extra keys, communications systems, traffic & flight monitoring.
Parking, map reading, common address schemes, highway call-boxes..
Passenger orientation, assisting passengers in & out of
vehicles

Overview of the garage and vehicles
Perform
limo safety inspection, location
of first aid kits, fire extinguishers etc.
Review accident kits, completion of, procedures when involved
Tire changing equipment and the use of, procedures with passengers.
Review supply locations of oil, liquor, soft drinks, ice, cleaning
supplies etc.
Vehicle & trip prepping
During the trip car servicing. Fueling operations, clean-up,
glass washing
Post-trip cleaning, paperwork, procedures |
Chauffeur Training Module #3 |
Vehicle prepped by trainee for trip
Trainee rides along: Freeway driving, city driving,
backing, tight quarters, etc.
Supervisor/Trainee Lunch & Review
Trainee driving on dry run
Trainee demonstrates skills with cones
Supervisor/Trainee review in garage
Trainee provided with Anti-Drug Plan & Alcohol Misuse Plan
for review
Trainee
views videos regarding drug/alcohol policies
& signs agreement.
Introduction to office personnel, completion of new hire paperwork. |

Trainee completes ride-along; performs all duties of the chauffeur.

Trainee completes first trip with Field Supervisor/Trainer as a ride-along.
Driver scheduled for first solo run & entered into system with availability info.
Driver continues thru company certification program during tenure. |

Note: The above trips or type of trips involve special packages created by Limousine
Scene and/or special parking area, drop off/pickup areas, special needs etc. and
are unique to our operations.
* Ride-alongs are completed on “Vendor Appreciation” rides in which a vendor is
comped a ride in “appreciation”. We use a 97’ super with a passenger seat and the
vendor is made aware this is a training run. You can use your insurance agent, cellular
representative, mechanic, advertising reps etc.
