"My husband ended up having to go up to the driver to ask if he was there for us (after we stood outside for over 10 minutes waiting). The Lincoln Town Car we received was in desperate need of a wash - just looked run down. The booster seat I had to pay extra for looked like it was from the '90's. Complete 360 from what we received from DSL for the trip from LAX to our hotel. For the cost I would have been way better off just calling a taxi."

"On our ride from the airport to the hotel, the van was filthy. I even found a bottle filled with urine in the backseat. Considering I was hoping for limo quality transportation, I was surprised and disturbed. Then, on our way back to airport, we had an equally filthy van that broke down on our way. This caused stress regarding making our flight and we had three babies with us. To top it off, our driver was rude. When asked whether tip was included he said, he was unsure, when clearly he knew it was. "

"This limousine company is a rip off in every single way. Their car is ripped apart on the inside. The driver appears to be on drugs. There is a big missing panel inside the limo, exposing rusted metal. No A/C. Everything is broken. Everyone in the car felt like the situation was dangerous. We were not only being ripped off, but the driver was possibly mentally ill and we had to get out of the car. Very bad situation at the worst possible time. "

"the Limo we had had some isuess on the inside part of the air / heat vent was exsposed with the vent pipes hanging out. made the limo look chep and old. The driver was very nice and polite. "

"When we landed we called the driver to let him know that we were on our way to baggage claim to retrieve our bags and the driver was annoyed that we called him because we were supposed to only call when we had our bags in hand and spoke to me in a very demeaning way. When I made the reservation, I requested a toddler car seat for our 22 month old and when we arrived at the car the driver stated he only had a booster seat. I became very upset because we clearly requested a car seat for our toddler and a booster seat is for a "big kid." We had no other option because it was midnight, so we strapped our daughter into the seat and prayed that we made it home safely. I called American VIP Transportation the next day to complain about the car seat and the gentlemen told me that next time I need to be more specific when making the reservation and that he has 3 different car seats and I told him that if he was unsure which one we would need, then he should've called to clarify because this is our childs safety we are talking about. He continued to argue with me that it was not his fault and that actually it was limos.com 's fault and they didn't tell him, I told him I disagree because I've used limos.com several times before with no problem before we the car seat. When all said and done, the gentlemen said it was not their fault. I would not recommend American VIP Transportation. "

"Driver was on time and met us where expected. The vehicle was the correct size, but it was a POS. Scratches, dings, all the window film was coming off... looked like crap and the cigarette smell inside bothered my kids and gave my wife a headache. This is the 2nd time Limos.com has altered my reservation to this company and both times the "equipment" from AVT has been seriously, a piece of crap. I don't know why they still have these vehicles even in their fleet... Really? That's the image you want? Shame on you Limos.com and AVT! At least the driver was nice and did his job well. Too bad he has to do it in crappy equipment. He deserves better."

"Was the driver on time? No Did he or she meet you where you expected? No... company didn't have a medallion for curbside pickup Was the vehicle the one you booked? Was it clean and comfortable? No, it was a mess, dirty outside, smelled of smoke and the "only car I had left" Did the vehicle have the amenities you expected (eg, refreshments, entertainment systems)"
Limo Service Response: "Mr Strutner only provided us with 3.0 Hrs notice for this pick-up. I had to send a non-airport car to do this pick-up because his flight was delayed and I didn't have another airport car to pick him up. We explained that to the client upon arrival. So we made the best of what we could do with what we had at the time. Mr Strutner was very rude and reiterated to the driver "Do you know who I am" nonsense to the driver as he was switched to this call. Mr Strutner was upset that he couldn't be pick up at curbside when we were giving him an upgraded meet & greet service for free. I drove that car the next morning and I did not smell smoke as the client said. The car did not look exceptionally dirty according to the client as we wash of car every couple of days. He was bent out of shape because of the curbside pick-up and everything else he was mentioning was piling on and making an issue in this review. Plus, the driver is a non-smoker anyway."

"I spoke with one of the reps at Limos.com last week and aired my concerns to her about getting the American VIP Transportation company as our limo service for my daughter's prom night on Saturday 4/27/13. The reviews I had read were negative and I was considering having Limos.com change the service to another company but in talking to your rep, she said she would put in my concerns to the company to make sure 1) Driver was considerate and presentable 2) Car was a nice, quality vehicle, and 3) that he would be on time. However, only two out of the three were met and we were so disappointed in having an old, scuffed up limo drive up. It had scratches and paint was fading on it and the tint job on the windows was bubbled and messed up. Later I heard from the kids, the lights inside didn't work - seemed liked none of the controls worked. This type of limo either needs to be put out of service or fixed up with a new paint job, etc. to meet clients expectations. I am grateful kids got to and from prom safely, but in renting a limo, one expects to have a fancy, shiny vehicle pull up and not a faded, scratched up one that looks ready to be impounded. I wish I had stuck to my gut feeling and requested that change in company before-hand. "

"This company sends a 15pax van to pick me up with a driver in shorts. JOKE! The 15pax has seats all the way to the back so they could not even put my luggage in the back had to ride in the seats. I BOOKED A SEDAN..not a freaking passenger van. The dispatcher at AMERICAN VIP basically said we can provide you with ever transport we have..not a specific sedan or suv....which IS NOT what limos.com says... SUCKED!!!!"

"Driver was very nice/courteous. I had to wait about 30 minutes, which I am not used to. Called the contact number for the company to find out where the driver was, and the number repeatedly went to voicemail. I called customer service for limos.com, and they were finally able to reach the company. The car was old/worn, very loud and squeaky. "

"Having been stranded in Southern California during the Blizzard of 2010, I needed to go from Orange County to San Diego to catch a flight home to the east coast...needed a service I could book quickly and last minute. This company fit the bill. Brian, my driver, personally arranged the pick up. And unlike many car services, my reservation number was my last name! No doofangled number to remember during a stressful time. When I called to see if I could move up the time, he very cheerfully told me he would do the best he could, and showed up a full 20 minutes ahead of the original scheduled time. The icing on the cake was the stretch limo that he provided. They had run out of town cars for airport transportation, but brought what he could, never charging more than the original amount discussed. That's class. Polite, on time, and just darn good service."

"This is an excellent limousine and car service took me to LAX airport and back home. They were on time to pick me up at 5:30 AM and were waiting at LAX when my flight was delayed an hour. The cars I were sitting in are clean and I would definitely recommend this service to anyone."

"This limousine and car service has been transporting me on my business travel since 2007. They are always on time and they assign me driver Jim to pick me up most of the time. I have never had any delay with this company and they’re always on time and on the mark. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that uses it."
