"Not a good experience! The driver was not on time. After waiting 15 minutes, I called Aleksa Transportation and they send a new car. This was not the same vehicle as the one we booked. At arrival downtown NYC, the driver said we had to pay him 100 USD directly, the remainder would be charged on my creditcard. I called Aleksa Transportation office the same day and told them that I have paid 100 USD cash. They then told me that they already had charged my card, but they would immidately make a credit entry for the 100 USD. This was not done, so I send an e-mail to remind Aleksa Transportation about our agreement. I have send five reminders and talked to Mr Nachman on the phone several times. My e-mails have not been answered. The manager in Aleksa Transportation, mr Nachman, has repeatedly promised to sort this out on the phone. Last time he promised this was two months ago. My advise on Aleksa Tranportation: Stay away! "

Driving was excellent, vehicle was large, new & clean, conversation was intelligent, informative, and very understandable. "I booked a pickup for my partner from Newark to Midtown. His flight was arriving later in the evening (11:45p) and this seemed to be the best option for a quick and pleasant ride into the city. I even paid the extra fee for an in terminal pick-up to ensure a nice experience. At 12:20 am, 35 min after the scheduled pickup the driver was no where to be found in the terminal. We had to call Alexa to get them to locate the driver. Soon after the driver appeared in the terminal, apologizing, saying that he had been there, but fell asleep in the car while waiting. Unacceptable! The drive into the city was quiet and uneventful, however the overall experience was subpar. It's ashamed that I wasted my $ on the In Terminal pickup and the driver tip. If it had not been pre-paid I would not have paid it. Next time I will elect to use a 5 Star Elite provider."

"You can do better than Alexa! Like many of you I picked Alexa b/c of the mostly positive reviews and actually the ride from LGA to the East side was quick and uneventful. My issue came when I saw a $150 charge on my credit card statement. The quoted price, as specified in my reservation confirmation email, was $95, which included a request for two child booster seats. As I discovered in an email inquiry with Alexa the extra charges were $12 for parking (for 30 mins), $13 for toll (paying RT toll for one way service?), though these charges were more than expected, it is specified in the confirmation that tolls and parking are extra. The remaining $30 charge was for the booster seats, I was never informed these would cost extra, no where in the agreement does it say booster seats are extra. Had I been given this information I would've canceled my reservation and looked elsewhere. Alexa took no responsibility for not disclosing this information, never sent me a receipt, and still hasn't provided one after numerous requests. I found the self-described "easy-going" owner of Alexa to be less than professional and argumentative but maybe I caught him on a bad day. Just know there are less expensive options that will get you where you need to go, friends in NYC say Execucar is a good option and a cab would've cost me about $35, just $5 more than the charge for the booster seats. And if you're reading this Randy, please send my receipt."

"I arrived at JFK from San Francisco with my eleven year old daughter, her first trip to NYC. We were met by a very professional driver in a Yukon and had an excellent drive into the city during the evening's rush hour. During the week, we made a trip to Hoboken, NJ to visit Carlo's Bakery, home of TLC's The Cake Boss. We were picked up at our hotel in a Mercedes and driven to Hoboken. It was the hottest day of the summer. Our wait at the bakery took two hours longer than anticipated. When I called the driver to let him know we were running late, he assured me it was no problem. When we got out of the bakery, he was right there to help us back into the car, air-conditioned, for the ride back to the hotel. I was concerned that I would be charged outrageous fees for going over my planned time, but I wasn't. I was happy to see another Yukon for a smooth ride back to JFK. Alexa is a professional company providing the highest quality whether you are on business or traveling with your family."

"On my family's recent trip to NYC, we had used Alexa for transportation both to and from the airport. From the airport, we had booked through Limos.com and were disappointed to find that the car that had picked us up did not have the toddler car seat that we had requested. The driver indicated that bookings through Limos.com do not always pass on special requests like this. Given that we liked the service otherwise, I booked with Alexa directly through their website for the trip back to the airport expecting that they would provide the car seat that was requested. However, we were disappointed once again! While I generally liked the car service, I definitely would not use this service again if traveling with my family."

However, the ride quickly deteriorated as first he got very, very lost getting from Newark Airport to Manhattan. He had to stop twice to turn around. As for the Benz, it was freezing, as though the a/c was stuck on Arctic. We kept asking him to warm it up but it didn't help. I don't think he was familiar with the A/C controls of the vehicle, as I watched him pushing buttons and turning knobs--all while attempting to read his GPS and figure out where New York had been moved to."

"It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Alexa Transportation. We hired an SUV for 5 people on a round trip from New York’s JFK airport to Manhattan with Randy in the office. It was our first time to New York and we we’re a little apprehensive but he assured us everything would be taken care of, and it was! We we’re an hour late arriving in New York but nevertheless the driver was outside the luggage reclaim area waiting for us! The driver was professional, friendly, very informative and the most important thing we felt safe in the car with him, especially in New York traffic.
